Welcome

This website was created by members of the Pathogen Genomics Center of Excellence (PGCoE) to provide additional documentation for public health workers who want to share their sequence data on the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). NCBI’s own documentation is necessarily general due to its many use cases and long history. This site provides an additional layer of documentation for NCBI data submission tailored to common public health use cases, with the goal of helping public health workers overcome the most common technical hurdles to sharing pathogen genomic sequence data.

Intended Audience

Infectious disease scientists working in public health who want to share their pathogen sequencing data publicly on NCBI, particularly those who are new to the process of submitting data.
